Webinar: The Future of Church and Mission
"Leaders are learners" was one of the mantras I remember from seminary days. I find that true among innovative churches (and other kinds of churches too.)
This Monday, you can listen in on the seminar titled "The Future of Church and Mission in the United States" with Dr. Ed Stetzer, Monday, February 19, 2007, starting at 2:45pm (Central Time). No registration is required for the live feed and it is free!
(By the way, if you're in the area, you can attend the seminar in person at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, 1435 N. Glenstone, Springfield, Missouri.)
[update 2/20] You can listen to the seminar below or download the MP3 audios from the event page.

Q&A
Ed Stetzer has planted churches in New York, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. He has trained pastors and church planters on five continents, and has written dozens of articles and six books, including Planting New Churches in a Postmodern Age, Comeback Churches: How 300 Churches Turned Around and Yours Can Too (with Mike Dodson), and Breaking the Missional Code (with David Putman). He serves as the Missiologist and Research Team Director at the North American Mission Board in Alpharetta, GA and co-pastor of Lake Ridge Church, a church plant in Cumming, GA.
“Ed Stetzer is one of the best informed, practically minded, and field tested church planters that I know,” said Rick Warren, author of Purpose-Driven Life.
“Nobody gets [missional] better than Ed,” said Reggie McNeal, author of The Present Future.
As an aside, Lake Ridge Church has a vision to plant a missional church that will eventually plant other churches. I'm curious to find out what that means in Georgia, and how they're able to do the co-pastor thing, when I've heard that it is unusual and/or difficult for most churches to have 2 pastors share its leadership.
[update, ht: Goodmanson] Ed Stetzer is working on a research project with Leadership Network on the state of church planting in the U.S. One key aspect of this study is a close look at multiplying churches and networks: what are they doing, how they are doing it, etc. If your church or organization has been actively supporting new church starts over the past few years, and you have not already participated in the study, please fill out an online survey about your efforts (and let others you know about this too):
