Leading Your Church Through Challenging Economic Times
Today's economy is a challenge for everyone. In our on-going conversations with innovative churches, we continue to ask what ministry impact it is having. Our long time friend, John Purcell, shared an article he just completed with our team this week. In that article, he outlines his insights on how to lead with both a business and ministry response. John served as Staff Director of Perimeter Church in Atlanta, GA for 16 years and prior to that ran businesses for Westinghouse Corporation. He has been through a several economic downturns and had to lead the organizations to respond. Currently he is a Leadership Coach and Church Consultant who lives in Atlanta, GA. He assists churches, through his ministry called Transform, in vision-based strategy, values-based governance, life-on-life discipleship and leadership development, and gifts-based teams. John recently shared an article, entitled "What the Church Must Do in the Current Economica Climate." The article, with permission from John, is a free Download here.pdf. For additional information, you can reach John at john@transform-coach.com. How are you leading through these challenging times? Send your ideas to me and I will share with the Leadership Network Learnings Community in future posts. Greg Ligon Vice President and Publisher
