great focus questions, part 1 of 4

Bobb Biehl (Masterplanning Group) send out an a free email several times a month called QuickWisdom. The first email this year contains a very valuable set of questions to consider for yourself and your leadership team. The email said to pass it along to a friend, so here it is.

While the questions look simple, the answers will take considerable effort to ponder. I'll be posting the questions in 4 blog posts this week and next.

PERSONAL FOCUS:

1)Today, am I focused on security or opportunity?

Your answer to this question is not right or wrong ...  it is simply to remind you that there are two very different perspectives of each and every economy.

2) In this type of environment do I personally focus more on ...

Goals to be reached,
Problems to be solved, or
Opportunities to be seized?

What do each of my team members focus on? What does my spouse focus on?

Again, not a matter of right or wrong ... just a reminder that others look at the very same economic picture from different perspectives. Sometimes the perspectives of others are helpful in helping you see the fuller / bigger picture.

3) Have I been in an economic downturn before?

What did I learn? Which of these lessons should I share ... to reduce my team’s anxieties?

4) What are the 3 main lessons God seems to be teaching me in this process?

Many of us learn best in hard times.
