The word "missional" has been a popular term among many church leaders for the past few years, even though different people used it in different ways. The conversations seems to have expanded beyond talking about what it means, and more towards what it looks like, how to restructure the organized church, and rethinking what it means to be followers of Christ, especially outside of the church building walls.
You may be learning more about the missional church just like I am. Here's a handful of blogs and websites that seem to be hubs of converations about the missional church:

There's one more place where the conversations will culminate, live and in person. The Verge Conference 2010 in Austin, Texas, is set for February 4-6, 2010. The speakers' line-up is incredible, truly the pioneers who are reshaping the church as we knew it.
I interviewed Michael Stewart, Pastor of Missional Community at Austin Stone Community Church, and one of the conference organizers. Listen to how he describes where the missional church conversation seems to be headed and what'll happen at the Verge Conference.
Interview with Michael Stewart
Today, October 29th, is the deadline for the super early bird registration rate of $69. You will not find a better value in the conference world! By the way, I'll be there, too, and would love to connect with you offline.

check out www.crosswind.ms Our experiment is as missional as it gets... kinda self promoting but hey, it is what it is. What's cool and different abt this bunch:
1. Small town, rural, highly institutionalized church presence
2. Very clannish area (racial, social, church)
3. Even in this environment Christian synergy is happening, walls are coming down, surprising partnerships are forming, and the gospel is being pushed into the margins with grace and service and vigor... yea Corinth missional movement!
