OK, this progress report is brought to you by those annoying affiliate link disclosure messages. Really people. I think the FTC is being ridiculous in making folks do that. No one is forced to go read someone's blog. And if you follow a link you know where you are going.
But at Leadership Network we are pressing on with real happenings this week and some live gatherings over the next few weeks.
- I was told our "Lean Staffing" survey already has 300 completed surveys. This survey is going to examine the ratios of church staffing and how some folks do it with fewer staff. If you are wanting to take the survey, here is the link again - http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB22A2DVD9UC9)
- Our publishing team reported that our total book sales for 2009 were really high. A new peak. I haven't done the math yet but they were up 30% late in the year. Why was that? Good titles for sure. Were people replacing conference going with a book? I don't know. Anyway, if you like books, you will like our book blog at http://books.leadnet.org and you can find all our great titles there as well.
- The book team also tells me we have 16 new books coming out over the next 16 months!
- Webinar Wednesday is tomorrow and the kickoff focus is on Recovery Ministry. "The Spotlight" will happen every month and is FREE. Sign up here: http://bit.ly/8Iuzi8
- Our Multi Site Innovation Lab has a group next week on Tuesday/Wednesday. Our new lab process has been very popular. Some tweets out there now about the Generosity Lab coming up. You can watch Chris Willard on this info video about it. Generosity Innovation Lab.
- Linda Stanley reports that our Next Generation Group starting this spring is almost full. If you have been waiting, now is the time. contact her at Linda.Stanley@leadnet.org for details.
- She also reports that she tried Sunday to go over to the Village Church to hear Matt Chandler preach but the crowds were so large she was turned away at the door. She did speak to Matt last week and reports that he is doing well and in good spirits.
- I also spoke with someone yesterday with an update on Chuck Smith. As many of you read Smith had a stroke over the holidays. The report was he was steadily improving and in fact was being driven to a meeting that day. We continue to pray for healing for both men.
- And speaking of folks on the mend, I am also praying for the internet monk, who is undergoing cancer treatment. I always read hisblog. Right now he has some able guests blogging in his absence.
- I am posting a series of look backs from THE NINES of some of the talks in prep for Aha! coming up March 3.
OK, short on time but we will have more to report later in the week.
