What a guy! - Todd Rhoades (I don't know what to call his title these days) - has done it again.
When I was lucky enough to talk Todd into coming onto our team at Leadership Network I have a few things in mind that I wanted him to do. But Todd has taken those things and blown them up into something really great. He really outdid himself this past week with Aha!
Todd and his team pulled it off under tight deadlines and high stress.
Todd is currently not only on the Leadership Network Lead Team, but also is a part of the 100x (our parent organization) to lead out in social media and marketing.
From the time Todd joined our team a few years back, he has been scheming up new ways to serve both our clients and the broader church world with conferences and online media.
For several years he has helped develop our online email/social media and web conferencing strategies.
Todd would be the first to tell you that we are still learning and experimenting. He is never satisfied with our progress and the world of tech changes every day. He loves to improve our look, feel, speed, relevance and all things in this area. So what you see today will not be what we have six months from now.
In this latest venture Todd led a big team to serve the over 9000 participants in our March 3 Aha! event.
With Erin Pinkston he created our new Premium option program book to (a) satisfy those that think they have to have a program schedule and (b) enhance the experience for those that participate in group viewings of Aha!. [By the way, over 2/3 of the participants in #ahaLN did so in a group]
Bonnie Randle, one of our capable coordinators, handled much of the detail wrangling which is huge when you have over 40 invited speakers.
On the day of the event, our Prize Pirate, Stephanie Plagens, created ways to share some of our neat give aways. Greg Ligon, Linda Stanley were on site to do some participant interaction and commentary, while Chris Willard and Sherry Surratt joined in via the twitter stream to keep things lively.
Todd himself does much of that site design, marketing lay out and much of what you saw visually that day. That's creative hat Todd at his best.
During the debrief immediately following the event, we spent 90 minutes making lists of things to do better next time, (May 19 for SAGE by the way) AND dreaming up several new online experiences for the future.
I would be remiss if I didn't throw out a little love to @djchuang who helped us over the last few years with our social media and blogging strategies. We still have some of DJ but he is also helping spin up some of these same ideas for other organizations now. And I also have to give a shout out to Cynthia Beal, our IT department chief who kept the bandwidth and security needs on track on March 3rd for us.
Thanks again to Lightcastmedia for broadcast support that day too.
I'll have a few more posts with official Aha! follow up instructions in the coming days, but send Todd some appreciation via twitter to @toddrhoades and you can also find him at ToddRhoades.com for his other thoughts. Or you can just thank him in the comments here below.
We have a great team at Leadership Network and I am very proud of all of them.
